Hey Freshmen, do you want to test your skills?  Are you capable of handling the Tricky Triathlon obstacle course?  Well...  then come out this Thursday at lunch in the quad where you can test your mad skills!! see you there Spartans!


AP TESTING:  If you’re taking AP tests this May, you only have a couple more weeks to sign up. Pick up the form from your AP teacher, the principal’s office or the counseling office. If you’re eligible for the fee waiver, see Mrs. Shelton in the counseling office BEFORE submitting your form. Forms and payment are due in the principal’s office by March 1st.


ATTENTION SENIORS: Are you proficient in one or more world languages in addition to English? If so, you may qualify as a California State Seal of Biliteracy recipient. If you’re a graduating senior who qualifies, you’ll have the gold embossed seal on your diploma, wear a special cord during graduation, have your name listed in the program as a Biliteracy Seal recipient and have it noted on your transcript. There is an application you fill out to be considered for the seal. Check with your language teacher or pick up a form in the counseling office. Once completed, drop it back at the counseling office.


In College News:  Attention ALL Seniors!  Ready for a road trip?  It’s time to sign up for the annual Orange Coast College “SENIOR DAY” field trip.  This FREE, fun-filled day will give you a chance to see what OCC has to offer.     

Interested senior’s come to the Career Center to grab a flyer, grab a permission slip……..and secure yourself a spot on the bus!  Seats fill quickly!  Don’t miss out on this great opportunity, happening March 16th .

Back by popular demand…The ASVAB…Interested students have one more shot at the ASVAB Test, scheduled for Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the VPHS library @8:00 am.  The sign-up sheet is available NOW in the Career Center.


SENIORS: The California GOLDEN STATE SEAL OF MERIT applications are here. All graduating seniors can apply to see if they meet the requirements which are outlined on the application. Check with your English teacher for the application or pick one up in the counseling office. Place your completed form in the basket in the counseling office before the end of March. If you qualify, you’ll get an embossed seal on your diploma, notation on your transcript and designation in the graduation program.


Seniors... SCC Placement Test is tomorrow at 8am in the small gym.  Check-in starts at 7:45am. This is only for seniors who completed the online application, and received an email from the SCC Outreach Dept. Don’t wait until the night before to apply, it takes 24-48 hours to obtain an SCC student ID#.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Meza in the Counseling Office.

VILLA PARK HIGH SCHOOL CONGRATULATES the following seniors on their college acceptances: Puja Jain and Vihangi De Silva: Cal State Fullerton; Zoe Nye: Pennsylvania State University; Sabrina Nguyen: DePaul University; Matt Lanzone: Michigan State University; Austin Everett: University of Colorado, Boulder; and Deja Sambath, a full scholarship to the University of La Verne.
